My Hamilton field chrono automatic came with instruction that the date shouldn't be changed between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. to avoid damage to the mechanism. Seemed strange to me - is that unique to the field chrono and/or to Hamilton? Is that the time period that the mechanism that moves the date is engaged with other moving parts? I assume the same warning would apply to the day of the week, and to other Hamilton autos that have a date?
All, I am looking at this watch on CL and i cannot tell from the pictures if it is real or not. Can anyone tell from the pictures if it is real? If not can anyone tell me any tell tell signs to look for that would make it known if it was a fake? In theory I could take it too a jeweler, but it would be a PITA.
