Last Sat. I bought a brand new Longines Flagship automatic from a highly reputable store in Canada. Before purchase, the sales rep told me that I could expect it to keep time +/- 5 secs per day. Well I am now 2 days into owning it and it is + 23 secs fast per day. Now the rep is back peddling. I don't know what to expect. I'm guessing this auction was for a Reagan? With an enamel dial..It sold for $265 - about three times what Reagans with applied gold numerals achieve. Fair enough you say - a common enough occurrence with original enamel dials.BUT - the dial looks a bit too good to be true (ie I'm guessing it's a refinished dial??) and it doesn't sit square within the bezel.
