...eBay item #220937418678, that closed yesterday. That watch had a Lady Hamilton movement Grade 983 in a Star Case Co. "Stellar" cushion shape case. Movement has serial number 1.25M, from about 1918.Is this a correct case for the watch, or was it recased at one point? I thought that these fancy porcelain-dialled watches were supposed to have fixed lug cases. In interest of disclosure, I was an underbidder on this auction. But I'm always looking to learn a little more.Any ideas out there?gatorc
My Bond LE is now 3-4 weeks old and I just started monitoring it. It has the new co-axial movement. It is running +4 to +5 seconds. It gained 23 seconds in 6 days. I know that there is a break-in period for new watches. What is the typical break-in period, and what is a reasonable (acceptablel) plus or minus for accuracy? I'm not a stickler, but want it to be within acceptable limits. Thanks to all,Barry
