I have a 1940-41 Hamilton Foster that I have restored to pristine condition. I had the movement serviced, the cased polished, and a new, old stock mineral crystal for a 1940 Foster placed onto it. [the jeweler commented: "The crystal fit so perfect it was as if it was made for this watch, which of course it was!"] The only thing missing is an era specific solid 14K yellow gold Hamilton buckle to go with it.
