Hi. I am looking for a place in NYC/Northern NJ area where I can send my Aquatimer in for a small service, polishing the case. I had Tourneau sent it back to IWC for an estimate. It came out to $1400. They told me it's because the watch requires a service, and they wouldn't do anything else unless I agree to it (watch is 4 years old and running perfect). I declined the estimate and got it back from Tourneau. Anyone had any experience similar to this? I found a IWC repair center in Brooklyn NY on
I finished this 1918 Elgin Trench Watch yesterday and took the pictures with my new home photo studio box. The first picture was taken under natural light outside in front of my house. The polished nickel shines nice and bright and has that mirror like finish. Pictures 2-5 were taken inside the photo studio box where the light is much softer. In certain angles it looks like the the case sort of has a frosty finish and only small portions have that mirror like finish. I am able to get much closer
