Hi guys, I want to buy my first Hamilton watch and right now I'm in the process of browsing the models and comparing their different features. I have chosen a few models, among them are the Khaki King Auto and the Khaki Field Auto, both in SS bracelets and black dial. 40mm both of them as well. I'd tend to buy the King Auto because of the Day and Date feature, (the Field has only a date window) and the crownguards (the Field doesn't have). But on the other hand, the Khaki King is only 50 mts WR.
I have a 18C Gold Recta Automatic Swiss Watch (mechanical), which belonged to my Great-Grandfather. I believe it's from the 1940's or 1950's. I can't find any information on this type of watch online. Does anyone know the history of this company and whether I should spend some money on getting the watch refurbished?
