I've had this model in for review for a couple of weeks and am pretty impressed:The watch is very clearly targeting the Rolex Datejust/Day Date crowed - $23,000.00 retail price. It has screwed in adjustable links - first I've seen on an Omega. The caliber 8501 is pretty darn impressive and nicely decorated. But thanks to the Co-Axial escapement it's got a wonky beat speed - 25,200 VPH. Thought you guys might like to see the pix!
I recently got a 14k gold ladies Bulova (see thread in the Bulova sub forum). The movement doesn't wind and I can see some rust on it. Not terrible, but some.I was wondering if I could take the movement by itself, submerge it in some water in an ultrasonic cleaner and use that to clean it, and maybe free up the movement?I've never taken a watch movement apart, let alone one this small! I'm interested in learning how to clean and service my own watches, I've had...less than stellar experience wit
