hi there. I've done a bit of searching about my latest acquisition and haven't found a lot to work with to date. The watch has a 'linen' finish dial and is stamped "Benrus Watch Co. Germany" inside the case back. I 'think' that the movement is an FE-140 as i did note '140' stamped just below the balance. Can someone please help identify the likely age (i'm guessing early to mid 60's), model and movement in my Benrus for me? Thanks!
Hi, I finally took this watch to a jewler to open it, I have been unable to and was afraid of damaging it. Ok, inside looks good and shiney for the most part, but you can still see some rust. How does it rust on the inside? The serial number is 3216292. Best I can tell from searching online is this is approx 1938? Inside says it is 14K filled. There is the number 912 engraved. I'm assuming this is the grade? 17 jewels Adjusted/ I have no idea what that means. Says "Hamilton Watch Co Lanca
