Looking for some education & enlightening here. Why is a quality winder so expensive? It seems to me that a winder is a simple device. You've got an omni-directional motor that turns around. You've got a pad or cushion that holds the watch in place. You've got a small computer circuit that tells the motor when to go & for how long. You've got some wood or leather, glass, felt or leather around a case. Yet most quality multi-watch winders seem to cost about $500 per head installed,
i posted this in the general forum thought i'd post it here.this is a seiko from around 1980 it is around 3mm thick and the case is 18k has anybody seen one before,or have some info?thank you.
