I've been collecting parts to put together an Elgin A-11. I've also been studying other A-11s on Ebay. Item # 220836213889 is unlike any WWII watch I've seen yet. It has a new looking case, a nice grade 532 (Y591919) but the black dial puts the stem at 6. It's marked U.S.Navy at 12 and Property at 6 in curved white letters. There is no pic of the back. Is this a construction or a real rare variant of the A-11? Joel
and it looks as good as new. Here are a few Q & D's fresh out of the box:No more hair pulling from the jagged edges after the butcher shop hacked at the side of the bezel and case! Had to lose that old strap though. Even though it's original and very comfortable, I think this watch deserves something classier. First style to try is lizard:Looks pretty darn good if you ask me!
