When I was a student at the University of Kentucky, I took basic etymology as an elective in arts for my pre pharmacy curriculum. A Dr. Plummer, from the school of journalism tought the course. He walked in the first day of classes and announced to the class," I am a sexagenerian horologist", to which the class gasped in unison and became very figity. He laughed and told us that it meant that he was a 60-something timepiece collector. See it's nothing scandalous, thats why etymology is important
I would appreciate knowing is anyone has made a watch or pen purchase from Define Time: Fine collectable new and used wrist watches and pens. This week they have a special on the Glycine Altus, a great looking watch IMHO. It is on sale for a good price, but I would like to know if anyone has purchased from them in the past and if it was a good experience. From what I can tell the stuff they sell looks genuine and they are within the US so that is good. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
