I got this as a present from my grandparents - apparently it belonged to my great-grandfather who died before my father was born (1954).The watch has to be wound up by hand and the strap isn't original - anybody got an idea what model / year it is?I don't know how to open the back cover and wouldn't want to damage the watch so I can't look up the serial number...thanks for your help
I seem to recall seeing battery life on the Bulova Precisionist estimated at one year. Can anyone confirm if this is accurate? I am intrigued by the watches, but a year seems pretty short. Although, for something that runs 24/7/365, it's not bad in the grand scheme of things. Plus, if it isn't a dive watch it's not that expensive to have a battery changed.Also, anyone know if there is any kind of end-of-life battery warning on the Precisionist? I don't really mind quartz if it has a decent end-o
