I took my SEAMASTER 300M CHRONO(circa 2000) for an overhaul to Omega boutique in NYC. When I spoke to a girl on the phone she quoted me $375-up for my watch. When I brought the watch in she told me $530-up but I should leave it and I would be given the correct price estimate in a few days. What i don't understand is on Omega website pricing starts at CHF390(roughly the same in USD) for current calibers. Picked these up at a local auction, along with a big bag of other sh- .....watches Paid 17$ for the pair. Rounds out to about 8.50 each! Not badThe Elgin is in the best mechanical shape. It works, runs and seems to be going good. It has some wear and pitting on the back though.I love how on the dial it says 'American Made' The Benrus is a little less nice. It stops and starts, doesn't have a crown. I dig the dial and lugs though. I wonder if anyone could fix it up, or use it for parts.This one's
