Hey guys ! ! !I recently bought this 9k solid gold Waltham Trench Watch, it was in pretty bad condition when it arrived but after some work it's looking pretty good once again. New "Bund Strap", new crystal, cleaned and serviced 15 jewel movement, polished case with some of the larger nicks & blemishes removed, new inner stem sleeve, dial & hands cleaned in the ultrasonic, timed on the new timegraph machine in several positions within about -16 seconds a day, amplitude improved from 201 
Really having some trouble here. I have the spring compressor fork tool which has worked for me easily on my other watches but I can't seem to get the band off my Longines. There doesn't seem to be enough space between the lugs and the groove on the spring for me to get the tool in. Any tips?This is my watch:
