Hi guys, just got my first omega and gotta say it's a beautiful watch. I chose the Omega Seamaster Quartz 2221.80.00 because I am a bit of a bond fan and just thought they looked great. Anyway about the glow, does my model have tritium or that superluminova stuff? It does glow but only if I shine a light on it, then it glows nice and clear for about an hour before fading almost to darkness. Is this normal? I am not planning on diving with it or anything but if it's not doing what it should
I like Quartz, but am thinking that Quartz Divers may be too much hassle.Consider: If the Battery goes bad means new gaskets , pressue test. Alot of $ for a lower cost watch. Auto may not need to be serviced for 5-7 year+.Unless of course your Quartz Diver is never gonna get near water.I have a friend with a Omega Seamaster Quartz. $300 for battery and retesting etc..Am I wrong?BTW; This is exactly why I hesitate on the CLERC CXX Quartz version or other Quartz Divers that have tempted me.
