Hi,I've always been fascinated by mechanical watches, but until I discovered the cheap Chinese watches I considered them to be an impossible dream.I picked up one of the self winding mechanical watches off the internet . I quite like it; however I have a mini lathe and mill at home and have always considered the idea of "building" a watch. Machining a movement from scraps of metal is far beyond me but I've been considering machining a new case and taking the movement.This watch is cheap enough
so, my calibre 565 is back from being repaired for the winding problem it had. it seems OK too. now, my next step is to get a black with white numbers date wheel. any suggestions where to try for said part?
