Seems to be like the fashionable trend towards bigger watches. A lot brands seem to be doing it, even updating watch models to have a display back where previously it was solid.It would appear, from what I read, this is because it is popular for most customers. Am I among the apparent minoritY that prefers solid casebacks (preferably nicely engraved)?People might say why hide away a beautiful movement? I don't! I guess I shouldn't say I don't know how, I just don't know if there's a particular tool that makes it easier to avoid scratching the case or bracelet, or gouging the band. The two watches that I would like to be able to swap on are the OM that I'm awaiting, and a Bulova with a brown face and a small window that shows a portion of the movement.
